Dr. Tracy Chorpenning earned a Bachelor of Science in communication sciences and disorders at Pennsylvania State University and a Doctor of Audiology at The Ohio State University. Her career includes adult and pediatric patients, providing services as a professional in private practice as well as with Delaware Statewide Programs for the Deaf, Hard of Hearing, and Deaf-Blind. After an Introduction to Audiology course at Penn State, Dr. Chorpenning knew she’d found the right career path. She loves working with families and believes in focusing on the whole person — not just ears — when helping patients feel informed and empowered regarding their communication options. She finds it especially rewarding to see families take what they’ve learned and apply it in their lives. Treating patients like family is important to Dr. Chorpenning, one of the many reasons she likes being part of the Family Hearing Center team. Outside the office, she treasures time with her own family, chasing around a busy toddler with her husband. When a free moment comes around, you might find her on Pinterest looking for new things to bake, trendy craft ideas, and home-organization tips.
